We connect to the greater work of God in our community…it is where we are sent into the greater Northwest area to offer the love of God and into the world to offer the Gospel.
Good Samaritan Ministries
We are a member of the Good Samaritan Ministries where we serve monthly in serving food boxes, a clothes closet, and share in assisting people with bills and needs as they arise. You can find out more information and connect with Good Samaritan Ministries at: http://www.stokesdalegsm.org/
Ward Street Mission
We serve meals at Ward Street Mission in High Point about 6 times a year. We serve close to 200 people. These meals consist of prep, delivery, serving, and cleanup. We spend time making connections with the clients of Ward Street and find it a rewarding time of relationship with our neighbors. For more information visit: https://www.thewardstreetmission.org/home
Project Agape
Project AGAPE — ministry to Armenia and to some of our most desperate Christian brothers and sisters — is a collaborative effort of the North Carolina and the Western North Carolina Conferences of The United Methodist Church in a joint effort with the Armenian Apostolic Church. Here at Bethel, we connect by making feminine hygiene pads as well as Christmas shoeboxes. From time to time we will gather items to send to the folks in Armenia. For more info, visit: https://www.wnccumc.org/project-agape
Mission Teams
Bethel has mission teams that go from time to time on short term mission trips. These have included but not limited to Alaska, Project 336 (A Youth Local Mission for the Northwest Area), Honduras, and local projects. Our goal is to listen for the needs as they arise and respond when God calls. We are also connected to the Northern Piedmont District of Western North Carolina United Methodist Church and her call for response.
